In order to mark the World Day for Safety and Health at Work that is being celebrated today (28th April), ETMA, in collaboration with SPARS, promoted a series of activities to draw the attention of its employees to the importance of adopting preventive measures that guarantee safety at work.
«Preventing accidents at work is everyone’s responsibility, just as prevention is a right across the board for all employees,» emphasises Carla Rodrigues, director of the Safety and Hygiene at Work Department. And she adds that «ETMA seeks, on a daily basis, to promote a global culture of safety», as well as «to incorporate in its SHT strategy measures that promote the prevention of occupational risks, accidents and diseases, always with the ultimate goal of the well-being of its employees, in a work context».
Thus, and under the motto «TOGETHER FOR A SAFE WORK», besides the posters alluding to the date displayed in various parts of the company, alerting in particular to the importance of the use of PPE (personal protective equipment), two different activities were developed with employees.
In a more informal format, the aim was to convey the message of each employee’s responsibility in the use of personal protection to prevent accidents at work.
In addition to the various gifts offered by SPARS to the participants in the dynamics, ETMA offered all its employees a reusable cotton bag, allusive to the theme.
ETMA recalls, once again, that the motto «TOGETHER FOR A SAFE WORK» only makes sense with everyone’s contribution! And, in this sense, the company will continue to adopt and promote safety and health promotion measures for its workers.
