ETMA goes into Yämmi 2 project with four components: fixing spring, two connection terminals and a metallic cover.
“Yämmi 2” is the evolution of the former kitchen robot with the same name. It is the outcome of an intense innovation work conducted during the past two years, by upgrading all improvement opportunities identified by “Yammi 1” users.
ETMA, along with PPRR Injeção, Lda (company responsible for this project along with SONAE), contributed with its technical knowledge for the development of the parts that supplies for this project. To achieve the final product, teams from both companies (technical and development departments) have worked between them adding different inputs in prototyping and first samples stages. The results were efficient to produce, easy to integrate in final assembly process and a match this machine high quality standards.
At ETMA these parts go by different production processes from stamping and automatic forming till surface treatments.
In this moment, ETMA has reached 800.000 produced parts per year. The final product is only available in the Portuguese market so far but SONAE forecasts a huge growth soon as the exportation to other countries begins.
