In the year that ETMA Metal Parts celebrates 80 years, it was with great satisfaction that it welcomed the Secretary of State for Internationalization, Eurico Brilhante Dias. An opportunity also for the Government to take a closer look at the good things that Portuguese industry produces, particularly in international terms.

Speaking at the end of his visit, Eurico Brilhante Dias highlighted ETMA’s “resilience” in its 80 years of activity and “how well it represents what the Portuguese economy is capable of doing”. Especially because, he added, “it is important to highlight that it is a company that exports two thirds of its output to very complicated sectors, with very demanding customers”.

For the Secretary of State, ETMA demonstrated “its ability to face great adversity”, illustrating “the way in which we respond to this pandemic in an organized manner” and “how we can serve our customers better”.

ETMA is committed to continuing its work, and to “seeking to take the name of Portugal worldwide”, as stated by Mário António Braga, ETMA’s CEO.

In turn, Rafael Campos Pereira, Executive Vice President of AIMMAP, emphasised that “ETMA is a benchmark for metal in Portugal, in the area of high added value technical parts”, highlighting the “great past, excellent present and wonderful future of the company”, with“ a lot of expertise, a lot of innovation, a lot of added value”.

“It is companies like ETMA that we need, that our economy needs. A highly internationalized company that must be cherished by the Portuguese Government and by society generally”, stated Rafael Campos Pereira.

This visit by the Secretary of State, and the accompanying delegation, was part of the PortugalOpenforBusiness initiative, a roadmap that aims to promote the relaunch of the national economy.
