In 2022, under one of its values – respect for the community – ETMA, together with its employees, sponsored the Associação de S. José, namely its “Life Support Center”.
The program implemented by ETMA called “IMPROVING LIVES – TOGETHER FOR A CAUSE” allows us to support, through actions and dynamics throughout the year, a local institution, taking into account the specific needs of the sponsored association.
The “Centro de Apoio à Vida” of the Associação de São José temporarily welcomes pregnant teenagers and young women and/or mothers up to 21 years old and their children, who are at emotional or social risk, promoting their (re)integration. This is an important role it plays in society, and the institution has already received guidance that it may also integrate young pregnant women and/or mothers who, being of legal age, do not have a promotion and protection agreement.
A NETWORK AVAILABLE TO HELP
The 2022 sponsorship experience was especially emotional for ETMA because the theme of motherhood is particularly felt by many of its employees. In addition, a very strong dedication was also felt by a network of partners, namely Farmácia Pinheiro, Farmácia Santos da Cunha, and Farmácia Costa Macedo, who made generous donations of products especially useful for mothers.
Generous donations of clothes and toys were also made by the entire ETMA family, and several internal campaigns were set up throughout the year to enable the purchase of products that the Institution marked as necessary for the children of the young mothers.
Campaigns to raise funds to purchase the products: Valentine’s Day (Handmade Flower Vases) | Father’s Day (Thermal Bottle Bag) | Mother’s Day (Folding Shopping Bag). These campaigns were made possible with the support of artisan Tereza Paula.

THE IMPACT OF SMALL GESTURES
The feedback received throughout these campaigns has been very positive and as in almost all solidarity actions, those who give, in the end, receive much more and leave with full hearts.
ETMA considers this sponsorship a success because it was able, even momentarily, to make a difference in the lives of these young women.
The needs of the Associação de São José continue, so at a time when the sponsorship of a new institution will begin in 2023, ETMA challenges other companies and the community to give continuity to the support given, contributing to the cause of the Support Center for Life with:
